Acceptance
An honest contact with reality without arguing with what has already happened.
Acceptance is not a position of weakness. It is honest contact with reality. From acceptance, real action — not action from illusion — becomes possible.
Short
- «I allow reality to be as it is right now.»
- «I stop arguing with what has already happened.»
- «I accept myself in both strong and vulnerable moments.»
- «I accept feelings without turning them into a verdict.»
- «Acceptance is not approval; it is an honest look.»
One minute
I take a calm breath and say within: let it be as it already is. I do not fight what has already happened. I look at the situation without trying to make it more convenient than it is. I allow myself to feel what I feel: tiredness, fear, sadness, anger, or joy. I neither excuse nor punish — I acknowledge. From acceptance arises the clarity of what I can change and what I can release. I gently straighten up and continue my day from a place of honesty. Today I choose acceptance as a form of respect for life.
Contemplation
Acceptance is not a position of weakness. It is a position of honest contact with reality. From acceptance, real action — not action from illusion — becomes possible.
